Day 6 Vacation

It is weeks like this where I wonder why they go soooo fast but if I was at work it would be going by soooo slow? A gorgeous day here yesterday, sun, sun and more sun. We were out ALL day at the beach or pool. You could take a walk in the am without a coat, gotta love it. My brother and his kids arrived late evening and have been having a blast together. It is fairly drama free as long as the big ones are not around the little ones!!! Today, is going to be the same and we are going to head to Broadway at the Beach later in the afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vacation Day 1 and 2

I know it has been awhile, however with my crazy life at work lately and trying to get it together for vacation I have not had much time to blog!!

We started out Sat. at 2 am and landed in Charleston a little after 2. We headed to Aunt Joans (after a minor detour) and spent some time with her. I wish it was not every 3 years, I just love watching the girls get to know her. This time they got a bonus because they got to me her parents who were my second set of parents growing up, her dad affectionately called me pest and I am sure dad had some affectionate names for her too :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After, we went to a GREAT restaurant( recommended by Aunt Joan) and then did some walking around downtown. I just love all the history, cool shops etc... If we ever have to move, Charleston is tops on the list!

Today, we met Joan again and this time her husband got to join us. The girls just get a kick out of his name " Kermit". We are glad he to got there because it was he is great guy and I enjoy getting to know him !!! We headed to Myrtle Beach to hang with the parents. Weather so-so but gets better as the week goes by... Girls swimming already!!!

Last Day :(

It is hard to believe our week is up and although I miss my friends it is sad to leave here! Although, everyday was not perfect there is something to be said for just being at the beach. I am not sure if it is the sounds, smells or views but there is nothing like it. I think in this life or another I need to live near or at the beach.
I did manage to read 6 books thus far and the girls got alot of swimming in( Beth- we will never get Ashlee back). A good time was had by all! Enjoy the slide slow.
