The Quiet is Gone and She is at it AGAIN!!

The girls were gone this past week being spoiled by their grandparents in WV! I made good use of that time- enjoying the quiet by reading (alot), no making dinner, going out with friends, Kevin and I went out twice and just got a few things done that I do not have time to do when they are here. They are back now- life is slowly returning to normal!
Grandma and Grandpa stayed another day! We celebrated Grandma Linda's birthday with a steak dinner and cake and ice cream. We also attended Ashlee's BFF McKenna's little performance after going to drama camp all week. I think McKenna found her calling but her mom is in sooooooo much TROUBLE!!!
Again, I discovered my junior photograph was taking a million pictures. Over 100 pictures since memorial day. I have to admit she has an eye for things so I am thinking I am in trouble!! Enjoy some the pics from the weekend and the junior photographer!
On a sad note, I was reminded how fragile life can be. My cousin's dad passed away- rest in peace Donnie and give a big kiss to my Grandmother and Grandpa for me. Now my Grandfather has more assistance to help keep my Grandmother in line! Those of you who knew my Grandmother know, he needs all the help he can get!!!
The girls trying to get Sam to chill and watch Pooh!
McKenna singing " A hard knock life"

The Junior Photographer's Collection :). You can see her very favorite subject is Sam!

Time Flies!

Again, not as fast at posting to the blog as in the past. It has been very busy and crazy since the last entry. Work, eat, kid activities, sleep and then it starts all over.

Last weekend , we got our first plunge into Beth/Greg's pool- this is when we know it is officially summer. The girls had their piano recitals and then we left Sat to take them to WV where they will stay the week with their grandparents.

Lately, there has been alot of drama at home and at work and those who know me well know that I do not do well with soooo much drama. At work, people just can not look beyond themselves and at home it is has been one thing after another. Poor Ashlee was told at Y camp by some kids that she was fat which lead to a nice long conversation!!! The good news, she gets it more than I know and said " mommy being too skinny is not good either". I just hope such an attitude persists through out the next few critical years!!!

Kevin and I started our week with NO kids by going to Easton for dinner and then of course shopping. He is still getting over my spree at the Buckeye store :). Enjoy the video and pics and have a great week!

I am a little behind....

Sorry for not blogging for a few weeks. It has been crazzzzy!!!
My parents came for a visit and The weekend before last, Ashlee had a gymnastics show. At first, Ashlee was hesitant but then she got the hang of it. If she would only smile, she concentrates so hard she looks like she may kill someone. Of course, the girls had a great visit with the grandparents and then on Sunday we celebrated Kevin's 39th birthday with friends!

This weekend we went to Chicago, so much to do but not enough time! We went to the Sears Tower, Navy Pier and of course American Girl!!! The girls had alot of 1st- 1st cab ride, 1st time they came back to a hotel and their bed was turned down with cookies and milk waiting for them and their first taste of the a "real" city. They also got to meet the couple we met on our honeymoon who came in with their kids to have dinner with us. It was a wonderful visit.
At American Girl Doll they had this box of questions to start up conversation and one was " what do you like most about your state?" Ashlee answered, it is sunny. I told that was not the same state mommy lived in, not sure where she is living.
Ashlee had alittle trouble adapting to the to all the noises of the city especially the sirens!
All in All, I think fun was had by all.
