Oh, Where, Oh Where did SUMMER go???

Oh, where, Oh where did summer go??? It is really hard for me to to believe summer is OVER, we were soooo busy I do not feel like we got to enjoy as much as possible. The weather was BETTER this summer and I think we spent only a little more time at James's swimming and the lack of pictures is proof! Since, HH what have we been doing? Answer- trying to enjoy the rest of summer and getting ready for school!!!! Kevin took all of us to Zoombezi Bay for Cardinal Health Day. The girls seem to really enjoy themselves.
We spent a lot of time shopping to get school supplies and clothes and ALOT of time getting oriented to 6th grade since this is a transition year for Allysa. All in All I think it has gone well, just getting a routine back has been a challenge especially as all the fall activities start! The girls are cheering again so hopefully since it is Football season you will see more posts!
Allysa completed her babysitting class and had her 1st official job watching Cameron. The plan is to start her out slowly and in year or so she should have a good business going. We have lots of friends and neighbors with young kids.
If fall must be here, let FOOTBALL begin!!!

Summer 2009- Flying By!!!

I want it to Stop!!!!
Summer is just flying on by, I think it is worse this year because we really have not had a "normal" summer!!! The girls are not ready to go back to school in just few weeks and it is sad to say we have been doing some school shopping and looking at book bags. With all that said, we managed to enjoy another great summer weekend.
Friday- we were at the Hodel's celebrating Gregg's early graduation from high school and 18th birthday. The reason it was all the more special- Gregg is off to the Canadian Jr. Hockey League. He has been working hard for many years so it is VERY nice to see his hard work and dreams coming true. Hopefully, we will see him in the NHL someday!
Sat.- We had a great day with my mom who brought the girls back Friday. They of course had a wonderful time with both their grandparents last week. We went to the "beer Olympics" next door. It looked like the clan from Pinefield was going to beat some of our guys but they pulled it out and Kevin won- not sure we should be proud of this :).
Sun- the girls had their pictures taken professionally at Hayden Falls!!! I am sooooo anxious to see them, the ones I took after were just a taste of what I am going to see. Nana left so I am sure they are sad but they have a great week at Angies to look forward toooo.

Time Flies!

Again, not as fast at posting to the blog as in the past. It has been very busy and crazy since the last entry. Work, eat, kid activities, sleep and then it starts all over.

Last weekend , we got our first plunge into Beth/Greg's pool- this is when we know it is officially summer. The girls had their piano recitals and then we left Sat to take them to WV where they will stay the week with their grandparents.

Lately, there has been alot of drama at home and at work and those who know me well know that I do not do well with soooo much drama. At work, people just can not look beyond themselves and at home it is has been one thing after another. Poor Ashlee was told at Y camp by some kids that she was fat which lead to a nice long conversation!!! The good news, she gets it more than I know and said " mommy being too skinny is not good either". I just hope such an attitude persists through out the next few critical years!!!

Kevin and I started our week with NO kids by going to Easton for dinner and then of course shopping. He is still getting over my spree at the Buckeye store :). Enjoy the video and pics and have a great week!

Not Gone Yet.....

It is hard to believe it is Mid-October in Ohio- It has been in the high 70's/low 80's. It was absolutely beautiful this weekend. Jeff and Leah, I hope your BUCKEYE weekend was WONDERFUL, we are sorry we could not hook up!!! Of course, it was full of football- I am sure that is not a surprise ...
We were 2 out of 2 this weekend- the BUCKS and PHINS WON!!! The Steelers have a bye-week so we are just watching to see how our RIVALS such as the Browns, Bengals and Patriots(the most evil of all) do!!!
As always, I cannot say enough about our friends they are the BEST!!!

Allysa, Emily and Julia- can you imagine what we are in for in a few years!!!

Ella(0.5 Mascolino), Ali, and Ashlee- they are adorable!!
Sam and Allysa- need I say more?

The End of Summer- where did it go?

As much as I LOVE football, it is hard to believe SUMMER IS OVER!! I am just not sure how or why it goes so fast, maybe because almost every weekend was filled with activities and fun!!!
The weekend started with Jen and Keith coming over and I got some quality Sam time!!! Then we kicked off OSU season at the James for the first party of the season- GO BUCKS!!!!! While we are watching the game and wondering if we lost our star running back for the USC game, the kids got one last dip in the pool.
On Sunday, Allysa and Ashlee cheered in their first Dolphin game(they missed last week), however that game did not end as well as Saturdays. Well, we have next week- Go Phins!
Tomorrow, we will end the summer chilling at home and Aunt Nancy will be over for dinner.
Last, we found our new car to replace the beloved explorer that saved my life. The girls were excited because it has a DVD but both surprisingly said they miss our old car. The car is beautiful inside and out and best part has an excellent crash rating which is something very important me these days, Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the long weekend.

The last splash at the James's Pool!

Allysa saying Hi!
