A Little of This and A Little of That!!!

Since, I am about 3 weeks behind, you are going to be subject to one big "Catch Up" blog. To start I finally got a picture of sunrise on Day 7 of our spring break vacation. There is nothing like beach life and really wish it did not take 10-12 hours to get to one because I would sure be there more often!!

Next up was Easter! Kevin's parents were here celebrate Easter with us. Linda got roped into helping me figure out what Ashlee should do for her Ohio Animal Project. Of course, those of us who know me know I HATE this project. It really is a project/homework for the parents, the kids can help (alittle) but the can not do it independently or even somewhat independently. For some reason, they did not get to pick and I had Ashlee prepped on what to pick since I had done this with Allysa 3 years earlier. Nope, her teacher assigned it to them and she was assigned a toad!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lot's of internet searching and ideas from my creative mom but we finally settled on how to do this. So off we went only to find out Michael's was closed but we managed to find everything at Walmart! Here is our finished project that will be turned in tomorrow!!!
The following two weekends after Easter have been just as busy. I went to Daughtry concert with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. This Friday was girls out night out again and we all went to the annual CF Wine Opener and as always that was fun ! Of course, there has been work , work and more work with juggling all the activities for the girls. It will be a busy until school ends with alot going on for Allysa since this is her last year at DCE. I hope not to fall so far behind again but would not count on it.

Unfortunately I must end on a sad note! My grandmother passed away early Saturday am and although my relationship with her in my early years was bumpy at times, things got better with the arrival of Allysa! I could see how much my visits meant when we took the girls to see her and when she got updated pictures. She especially liked the collages, she enjoyed seeing their different looks so for the last few years I would get her 8 x 10 collage of them. Her last few years have been in and out of hospital but she always rallied! Rest in Peace Grandma. She lives on in the girls since there is NO doubt my two especially Ashlee inherited her feisty stubbornness !
